Facts About Panama City for Your Ocean View hotel Stay

Panama City is a beautiful place with a whole lot to explore and experience. When you stay at one of our Panama City beach hotels, you’ll enjoy plenty of great views, lots of fun experiences, and wonderful amenities. Here are some facts about this area so that you will be ready for your amazing ocean view hotel experience.

  • All of the beaches along the Panama City beach area are public, with 96 public access points. When you visit one of our Panama City beach hotels, make sure that you use one of the four public parking areas with beach access and never park in areas with no parking signs clearly posted.

  • You might want to camp out on the beach. Tents are allowed here, but anything left unattended between the hours of 7 PM and 7 AM may be removed by the beach services contractor due to the Leave No Trace Ordinance.

  • Part of the fun of staying in an ocean view hotel is the search for seashells. You’ll find a range of beautiful shells all along the county beaches on the shoreline and in the water. For the best shell hunting, head out during the early morning hours when the beach is less crowded.

  • If you’re planning to do some fishing on your vacation, please note that a fishing license is required to fish in all of the waters in Panama City Beach unless you’re fishing from a licensed pier or you’re on a charter boat that is chartered by a licensed captain. Three-day out of state licenses can be purchased at all local Walmart stores, bait and tackle shops and the local Bay County Tax Collectors Office.

  • The age requirements of guests at our Panama City Beach hotels are set by the individual property. Most hotels require that guests are 18 or older, but some may have older age requirements that go as high as 27. Contact the property in advance to confirm the age requirements before you book a room.

  • People age 21 and older may consume alcohol on the beach except during the month of March. Glass bottles are strictly prohibited.
